Soldier Died....4 injured

Sept. 11 marked more death. In our unit we lost a young soldier, young husband, and daddy. His memorial serivce here will be on Thursday. I know his wife is here, but not sure when she'll be heading back to the states, so no clue if she'll be there on Thursday.

We also had 4 soldiers injured. Two were fairly seriously injured and are heading here to Germany to be treated. The other two were not too bad and will be returning to work soon.

Please keep this young family in your prayers, as well as their extended family and their friends. We're just so close to the end, so close.

Our thoughts and prayers are with that family, and also with the soldiers injured and their families.

There was a soldier here in MN that was taken off life support just a few days ago. My hubby did a report on him and later his editor.

The soldier was 21 years old, and had served twice in the war. The first time he received a purple heart and this last time obviously was much worse. But he wanted to go back for his second time.

At some point before he died, he was asked if he regretted any of it. His response was that he wants to go back. I don't know the details of this whole thing but there is one thing that I do know...

The bravery, determination, honor and inner strength that the soldiers have is something that ALL Americans should see and learn from. It is really sad to hear of all these deaths of such young men but in every story, there is a story of a MAN. Whether it be a male or a female, these folk are brave. And the families of these men and women, if I could hug and cry my tears with them I would.

My thoughts and prayers are with this family
